UNWOVEN is a response to the 2026 ISTD assessment brief “Trade Matters” in the hopes of revitalising interest and appreciation for the art of Turkish Carpet Weaving.
I focused on the experiences of weavers whose livelihoods are being threatened by the modernisation of this beautiful, traditional craft. Hand-weaving and creating this physical publication furthered my appreciation for traditional practices connected to my heritage.
